Online Document Request

The King County Superior Court Clerk's Office recently introduced a new online application to request copies of court documents. The system requires that you set up an account before you can begin requesting superior court filings and you can pay for your request via credit card or electronic check.

In addition to being able to request court records online, the system also allows you to request certified copies, exemplified copies and expedited service. Users can request documents via case number from 1979 forward and it includes those cases that cannot be accessed using the Clerk's Office ECR system.

For more information, you can contact the Clerk's Office at 206-296-9300.

Annotated Bibliography of Washington State Legal History

If you have any interest in Washington State legal history, then take a look at W. Clinton Sterling, Sources of Washington State Legal History: An Annotated Bibliography, 102 Law Lib. J. 69 (2010). This extensive bibliography is divided by subject area, and includes references to items that that are difficult to find otherwise. For example, there is a category on constitutional conventions that contains entries for a 1924 volume entitled Washington's First Constitutional Convention, 1878, and Proceedings of the Convention; a 1945 Ph.D. dissertation; and a 1951 Master's thesis.
