Information collected and how it is used:

The King County Law Library’s website is hosted by an outside Internet service provider. The service provider does not provide the Law Library with any Internet Protocol specific information about individuals. If you do nothing more during your visit to the Law Library’s website than browse, read pages, or download information, certain information will be gathered and stored about your visit. This information will not identify you personally. We gather and store this information to help us understand how people use our website so that we may continually improve the site’s usefulness to the public.

You may volunteer personal information during your visit to our website by sending us an email, by participating in a survey on the site, or by filling out a form on our site. After we have responded to your email, the personally identifiable information you provided will be stripped from the data collected before the data is used for the purposes identified above.

The website provides no encryption for credit card or password data. Once you leave the Law Library’s website by linking to another website, this privacy notice will not apply. When you link to another website, you are subject to the privacy policy of that new site.
