Advanced Workshop for Self-Represented Litigants

This advanced workshop is designed for those who have attended Civil Lawsuits without Tears: The Basics of Representing Yourself in Court or those who need more information on the process for admitting evidence in a civil case. In this workshop you will learn about: the process of determining whether evidence is relevant and admissible, how to provide authentication for evidence, the basics of “hearsay,” and which things are “privileged” and cannot be used as evidence. Attendees will be granted access to a password protected website with additional information including sample documents and instructions.

This class does not cover immigration proceedings or criminal proceedings such as DUI or felony and misdemeanor offenses.

*Online Registration is Required!*  If you don’t have a computer at home, you may visit KCLL or any SPL or KCLS branch to register using one of their public computers.
