Have It Your Way: Creating a Durable Power of Attorney for Finances and Healthcare @ Auburn Library (KCLS)

If you become sick or unable to make decisions for yourself, do you have a plan in place to have someone you trust make financial decisions for you?  What about medical decisions? In Washington, you can create a legal document called a Power of Attorney (POA) to authorize another person to make decisions on your behalf. In this workshop you will learn about Washington’s Durable Power of Attorney for Finances and Durable Power of Attorney Health Care. We will discuss the law that governs them and the practical issues to be aware of when creating or revoking them.  You will also have access to forms that you can use to draft your own Durable Power of Attorney for Finances and Durable Power of Attorney Health Care.

*Online Registration is Required!*  If you don’t have a computer at home, you may visit KCLL or any SPL or KCLS branch to register using one of their public computers.
