Collection Development

The Board of Trustees approved a revised collection development policy for the Law Library in November 2021. The collection development policy, drafted by Law Library staff with input from the Board of Trustees, guides the Law Library in making selection, supplementation, and retention decisions about the Law Library collection. The Law Library collection includes subscription databases, and the collection development policy provides guidance in choosing between print and online resources. The policy also identifies the minimum collection requirements for federal, state, and local legal materials. In addition, the policy identifies the subject areas in which the Law Library will concentrate its collection efforts.
