The Path Forward with Energy Policy
August 17 @ 9:00 am – 10:00 am PDT
The COVID-19 pandemic shook the energy marketplace like few events before. Domestic and international air travel ceased and even vehicular traffic declined precipitously. All of this dramatically effected the energy market. Prices fell as demand dried up, and supply ultimately had to be curtailed. At one point, the spot price for oil dipped into negative territory, accentuating how the weak the energy market was. An unusually cold winter throughout much of the U.S. caused disruptions which affected tens of millions of people, and led to calls for more regulation and greater scrutiny. This regulation—along with a much greater focus on renewables—may be coming thanks to the efforts of the new Biden Administration.
This hour long webinar presentation featuring experts from Reed Smith and industry will focus on the new path the Biden Administration is taking with energy policy. It will equip attendees to counsel their internal and external clients on what to expect from decision-makers during the next 3 ½ years, and how to prepare for changes in energy policy.
