Firearm life plans help you and your family members make responsible, voluntary decisions about firearm ownership and access.
Firearm Life Plan, a collaboration led by the Firearm Injury/Prevention Initiative at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, has a free DIY guide that will help walk you through the process, including:
- Firearm Inventory so you and others know what firearms you own and what you want done with them as you age.
- Firearm Legacy Map so you can document the memories and meanings associated with your firearms and share them with people you choose.
- Conversation Starters so you and your family can discuss the ins and outs of a firearm life plan.
- Warning Signs and Assessments so you and your family are better able to ensure safety around the firearms you and/or they own.
