If you have a FULL Protection Order already in place, you can request a free, wallet-sized Hope Card to use when you need to verify this information.
Washington’s Hope Card Program offers people an easier way to carry vital information about their protection orders. When necessary, the Card can be presented to law enforcement, landlords, employers, schools, etc.
A Hope Card can be obtained for any of the following protection order types, provided they are full orders past the temporary status stage:
- Domestic Violence (DVPO)
- Sexual Assault (SAPO)
- Vulnerable Adult (VAPO)
- Anti-Harassment (AHPO)
- Extreme Risk (ERPO)
To learn more about the Hope Card Program, call 360-704-4042 or send an email to HopeCard@courts.wa.gov
