The procedures for challenging a ticket are governed by the Infraction Rules for Courts of Limited Jurisdiction (IRLJ). The IRLJ can be found in the Washington Court Rules, kept at the reference desk and on the Web. https://www.courts.wa.gov/court_rules/?fa=court_rules.list&group=clj&set=IRLJ

King County: Photo Enforced Tickets

Washington state law allows for photo enforcement violations to be processed like parking tickets and filed against the registered owner. A photo enforcement conviction will not appear on your driving record, but failure to respond to the ticket may affect renewal of your license plate and the case will be sent to collection. https://www.kingcounty.gov/courts/district-court/photo-enforcement-tickets.aspx
